Deflowered

I had the best time.

I had the worst time.

Friends: great.

My race: opposite of great.

I am better and stronger than I allowed myself to be on the day. I don't know what my time was, and I don't ever want to know. I would consider it an act of friendship if you did not look it up.

This is not my race report. That will follow when I have more time to write, and when I have had more time to process the experience. I am already learning--already planning. Until then:

"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."*

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."*
*Lord Winston Spencer Churchill

You were there. You did what not many folks can, or are willing to do.

Move it forward. Easier said than done. That was a hard course. I was doing the Olympic thinking, 'how did they do the half yesterday?' So, I think you're awesome for conquering the Wildflower!
BTW thanks for lending me the CO2 cartridges. Did you find them in the car?

Dude - I walked the whole run and I only did the Oly. Move it forward is right. (ha ha... can I tell you how good it feels to dump that load on someone else - as if.... BUT WE MUST!)

Live and learn... that's my new motto.

It was lovely meeting you if only for a few moments.

You finished and you are learning from it. Don't let it ruin your day!

This is me not lookin' it up.

But I am lookin' up to you Greyhound.

Finishing is an accomplishment not to be taken lightly. As much as I hate personal growth and learning, I know it's really a good thing.

After it's over and done.

Robyn had a few similar moments during an East Coast sprint this weekend. Still trying to not let it get me down! Looking forward to reading your report.

Love that quote! Man, that's one every triathlete should have on the fridge, by the bed, on the mirror, on a post it next to the computer.

Sounds like Wildflower was a tough course. You got-er-done. That's saying enough.

Good shot. Its the journey to the goal not the destination that makes memories

Dude, it was a tough day out there. Highest DNF rate in many years. You should be congratulated just on finishing.

It was nice to meet you briefly on Saturday. Good luck with the rest of your racing.

I'm sorry you had a sucky race. Still can't wait to read your race report. You're always so insightful. Keep your head up! :-)

More is learned from a bad race, than from a good one.

You finished WILDFLOWER, right? So you're on up on most of us.

I promice not to look. There. I didn't look. I'm going to look eventually, but I won't look for YOUR results, just TB's, Bold's, and everyone elses. Except yours. No way. Not even if you beg me to. I won't do it.

sorry you had a sucky race - but I hear that universally it's a tough course.

I know. doesn't help much. Maybe next time?

Move forward, keep going!
