Where Did That Come From?

So, I could barely walk this week, and I was pretty sure I would not run this weekend. But this morning I felt good enough to give it a try, so I decided to treat the Austin half as a long run with a few thousand close friends. The results:

1:56:??
Avg pace 8:48
Avg HR 148 (!!!)

And the best part was coming up on Kathleen in the last 5 miles and poking her with a sharp stick every time she wanted to slow down! (Actually, I was nicer than that, but I'll let her tell the tale of how she beat me to the line).

It was a very, very good weekend.

More tomorrow.

Peace. Out.

Congrats! I've heard great things about the race (music entertainment, huge crowds) and can't wait to read more tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy relaxing!

See you are not old! You totally rocked it. Way to go. That is an awesome half marathon time, especially with all the 'stuff' going on with your hip.
