Whoap! There Goes Gravity . . .

So. There are a few elevation changes at Buffalo Springs Lake Ironman 70.3. Nothing like a 7.9% grade directly out of T1. And by all appearances, one falls into a crevasse every 5 to 10 miles from which one must extricate oneself without the aid of an internal combustion engine or a longhorn sheep.

This course is not billed as "flat and fast," and I won't be either. But I will be there and I will enjoy every minute.

A bad day on the bike is better than a good day at the office.

Looking forward to a race report. I'll be in WV racing 70.3 myself but probably not as hot.

If you get a chance, look for a guy named Eric Hodska, wearing a blue/white jersey with a big EH on it. He's an awesome coach/triathlete/guy. Tell him Eric from Cleveland says hi.

G'dog,

I used to tell my soldiers in the Army that tests and challenges were "an opportunity to excel." This is you time to shine, bro.

Stay tuned...

The bike course is a real monster but it is a blast flying downhill, or as you put it, falling into a cravass.

The picture I use on my blog is me climbing out of Yellow Horse canyon, you'll have one of those pics of your very own before the weekend is up!

Don't forget to rack your bike in the small ring our you'll be in for a curcular circus clown ride trying to escape T1.
